Friday, June 23: Free Concerts at University Village Shopping Center 6:00 pm – Band: Lipbone Redding Trio; Blues Americana, Pop. The concerts will be held in the north plaza, between Hacienda Colorado and SmashBurger. Location: 5230 N. Nevada Avenue, 80918 Contact: Doug 329-8015

Friday, June 23 – Sunday, June 25: Merge June Camping Trip – This is a National Forest camping event. Cost: Free. We do have a portable flush toilet with shelter for the women. There is no water, so bring water. There is limited or no phone coverage up there, so if you have questions don’t wait to the last minute to contact Doug. Join us any days or evening through this time period. Doug will have his trailer so we have some modern conveniences. There are some people wanting to carpool and we have extra tents for those that don’t have a tent. Directions: Take Hwy 24 to Lake George, go another .75 miles on Highway 24, turn right on CR 77, take this 12 miles. When you get close to the town of Tarryall, CO there is a small Historic white school house on the right , just before that school house there is a road labeled CR 31, turn left. (If you are at the school house turn around, a couple of hundred feet back is CR 31) Once on CR 31 the road curves to the left, go past NF 233, you will see 3-4 mailboxes on the right side of the road, take the next right on to NF 231, at the next right after the closed split in the road (maybe 3-4 blocks worth), make a right. We will be on one of those sites up that road. We would like to know when you plan on coming so we can look for you. Some will hike near Spruce Grove Campgrounds ( great river views and rock scapes) others may be tubing (bring a tube) near Happy Meadows Campground. Others may just decided to rest and enjoy the outdoors at our camping site. Contact: Doug 329-8015

There are great hiking and bike trails to enjoy, and we will set up volleyball. Feel free to bring any other outdoor activity and lawn chairs or blankets. Lunch will start at noon. Saturday, August 5: Florissant Fossil Beds Hike 8:45 am – We will carpool from Safeway on 32nd street, meet in the northeast corner of parking lot in front of Pizza Hut. Location: 3275 W Colorado Ave, 80904. Once at the Florissant Fossil beds we will watch a short video about the history of the area. Then we will hike the various trails (about 5 miles) over to the Hornbek Homestead. After the hike we will stop in Divide at McGinty’s Wood Oven Pub for lunch. Note from Doug: you are welcome to stop by the camping site near Tarryall as CSCS2 is camping this weekend. Cost: $5.00 fee to get into the park unless you have a pass then admission will be free. Friday, October 20: City-Wide Christian Singles Dance 7:00 pm – It has been a while since our last Dance. Two large singles groups have come together to sponsor this Dance; Whole In Him and CSCS2. The Dance is free but we will be accepting donations to cover some costs.
Location: Rocky Mountain Calvary, 4285 N Academy Blvd, 80918. Dance will be held in the Summit Room. Enter through the North Doors under the Rocky Mountain Calvary sign from the West parking lot.
Cost: Free, we request that you bring a snack to share. Beverages will be provided. Dress attire should be modest. Put your dancing shoes on and enjoy the fun! Contact: Doug 329-8015
